Dear Reader,
With our second news letter we would like to inform you about the activities and the first products developed during the first twelve months of the project till the end of November 2009 for the SKRAT (Strategic practices for Know-how Retention And Transmission within organizations) project:
- Production of National reports in partner’s countries;
- Project meeting in Bucharest;
- Production of a “Tool Grid” report;
- Internal Evaluation of project development;
- Valorisation plan, tools and events.

Dear Reader,
This first newsletter is to inform you about the ongoing activities and the results obtained in the first nine months of the SKRAT (Strategic practices for know-how retention and transmission within organizations).
SKRAT is a Leonardo Da Vinci ‘Development of Innovation’ project focusing on the retention and transmission of know-how in metal sector enterprises. With the current lack of active measures for know-how transfer, the project aims to offer some innovative solutions to the loss of the knowledge and skills base in enterprises attributed to high turnover rates, generational changes, high competitiveness, economic difficulties and early retirement.

The next meeting of the project will be hosted in Bucarest by ISE, dates : July 12-15, 2009
Kick-off meeting for the SKRAT project

On January 26th and 27th, 2009 the Kick-off meeting of the project is hosted by the project promoter - Fundacion Metal Asturias - in Gijon, Spain
